Mining
Montana Resources operates an open pit copper and molybdenum mine in Butte, Montana. The operation comprises the Continental Mine, crushers and a concentrator facility where tons of raw ore are processed into high-quality metal concentrates. We serve an international market for these important metals. Minimizing environmental impact and respecting the land we rely on is one of our top priorities. Montana Resources practices concurrent reclamation, recovering the land to its original state while mining continues. The result creates grassy rolling hills inhabited by deer and wildlife. Helping local economies thrive is essential to our mission. Wages and taxes paid and local and statewide purchases average more than $100 million annually.
Shipbuilding & Ship Repair
Conveniently located to serve the Pacific Northwest’s marine industry, Seaspan’s state-of-the-art, full-service shipyards in British Columbia, Canada are committed to the highest customer service and safety standards. The talented and dedicated shipbuilding workforce successfully complete countless new construction, conversion, refit, repair, life-cycle maintenance and refurbishment projects on naval and commercial vessels including cruise ship conversions, work on deep-sea vessels and containerships. Seaspan is fully committed to protecting the aquatic ecosystem surrounding our shipyards. We’re certified ISO 14001, the international standard that helps us implement our environmental management system (EMS). Seaspan is also a certified Green Marine company and the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority labeled our vessels as meeting their GOLD standard through their EcoAction program.
